- Kickstart DE&I programs.
- Help existing programs get unstuck and continue moving forward.
- Promote inclusivity and belonging through practical & actionable steps.

Why Belonging Matters
Belong California’s aim is to pave the way for the construction industry to implement inclusive practices that allow for every employee within our current and future workforce to thrive.
According to research, this type of engagement is increasingly important.
- 71% of organizations desire to have an “inclusive” culture in the future, yet the lived experience of employees is very low (Deloitte).
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion offers a company a 46% advantage in the industry, 40% better and more accurate decision making, and 34% increase in overall financial performance. (Deloitte)
- 76% of millenials said they would leave an employer if diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives were not offered. (EY)
- 69% of Gen Z said they’d be “absolutely” more likely to apply to a job with a company whose recruiters and values reflected a more racially and ethnically diverse workplace. (Tallo)
