Belong California is a program of the AGC Construction Education Foundation (CEF), a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation whose mission is to inspire the construction industry to be a place where people belong, grow and build lasting legacies. The initiative comprises a set of resources, toolbox talks, and a collection of DE&I best practices to be considered.
Anyone in or related to the construction industry looking to build, promote, or deepen a sense of belonging within their organization. Whether you chair the diversity committee, are looking to start a task force, or are already moving ahead in your strategic plan, these resources can be leveraged to expand your goals.
Belong California Playbooks serve as comprehensive guides that outline best practices, strategies, and standards for various workplace topics that support continuous improvement, growth, and sustainability within the California construction industry.
The ‘Toolbox Talks’ are microlearnings designed for group discussion on various topics related to DE&I and belonging at work. They can be implemented within a field office, department, or even company-wide.

The AGC Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Forum is open to all member organizations. Forum meetings are held quarterly and serve as a space for you to engage in frank conversations about transforming your corporate structure, policies, practices, and job sites. The AGC Small/Underrepresented Business (SUB) Forum connects California’s SUB contractors with opportunities, primes, agencies, and industry experts.
