We’ve worked with other companies in the past to provide workshops on different DE&I topics, but the fact that AGC caters to the construction industry makes a big difference. Yuhi, the facilitator of our workshops, did a great job at breaking down topics that can be intimidating and related them to our industry specifically. We saw more engagement from our employees because she used terminology that was familiar to them. The format of the workshops made the environment less formal, which allowed for more conversations and questions rather than a structured ‘training’.

I’ve been really energized meeting the other folks on the [AGC DE&I Steering] Committee. All of us joining together as a united front, speaking the same language – it feels like good energy. I think the construction industry badly needs a leader in diversity and inclusion, and AGC has positioned itself to be an incredible leader on this front.
